Being this the “final” volume with Tally as the main character its really hard not to spoil someone.
In this volume we follow Tally and Shay in a new adventure and discover even more about this civilization!
“Special Circumstances”: The words have sent chills down Tally’s spine since her days as a repellent, rebellious ugly. Back then Specials were a sinister rumor — frighteningly beautiful, dangerously strong, breathtakingly fast. Ordinary pretties might live their whole lives without meeting a Special. But Tally’s never been ordinary.
And now she’s been turned into one of them: a superamped fighting machine, engineered to keep the uglies down and the pretties stupid.
The strength, the speed, and the clarity and focus of her thinking feel better than anything Tally can remember. Most of the time. One tiny corner of her heart still remembers something more.
I read this book like it was the last. It’s my second favorite (being the first book my number one), it’s fast paced but there are times i don’t want to read one more word of Tally’s thinking. I think its the main flaw of this book, it focus on Tally feelings to much(?) but near the end i almost understood why. It has to do with the story.
If you read the previous books, read this. Because that ending in book 2 isn’t enough! i gave it 4.3 because David actually appears and because i don’t like Zane (kidding), the slow parts are really boring.
Spoiler review next! 🙂
Well i think i have a lot to say for the first time in this series!
Tally: In the end i got it why she had to sound so annoying, she had to sound special. By the middle/end we see she is changing every chapter.
I never got her relationship with Zane, maybe i didn’t connected with him but to me they were together because they went through a lot not because they loved each other.
Shay and her had this awful relationship, their friendship is just good when Shay is normal. If Shay is some what different their relationship is not good. In the start i was hating the book because of this but by the end, when Shay appears, i started enjoying it more.
David and her are my OTP of this series. David id a normal kid and (to me) makes Tally a better person. I see Zane is just like that, but i guess i didn’t connect as well as with David. I’m glad they ended up like friends and not like lovers, vigilantes.
Curing Dra. Cable, was a good point made. But Tally had a point, if the cities continue to expand everything will end up like in the old times.
I’m curious to know what lies ahead.
I hope you enjoyed this review.
