Saga, Volume 2 Graphic Novel Review

Hello!
After buying all the available volumes of Saga (and finishing Love, Rosie) i decided to read something fun and light. Nothing better then Saga!
From award-winning writer BRIAN K. VAUGHAN (Pride of Baghdad, Ex Machina) and critically acclaimed artist FIONA STAPLES (Mystery Society, Done to Death), SAGA is sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the universe. Thanks to her star-crossed parents Marko and Alana, newborn baby Hazel has already survived lethal assassins, rampaging armies, and horrific monsters, but in the cold vastness of outer space, the little girl encounters her strangest adventure yet… grandparents.

This volume is really fun but a different kind of fun. In the first one we meet the characters and the plot. In the second one we see glimpses of the past. How Alana and Marko met and Marko childhood. We also get a few information about the Freelancers and his Majesty.

This is very different from the first volume, not as fasted passed, enjoyable still. I gave it 4.6 starts out of 5 just because i didn’t enjoy it as much as the first one.
Next a small spoiler review.

5-stars

Just a quick overall review with more details.
The Will is just mysterious to me and now he has a friend. I don’t understand quite well what Gwendolyn is going after. Her rings? i don’t think it just that, because if it was she would go all over the universe to get them. (in my opinion) At least i’m glad The Will saved the Slave girl, what was that she did? really cool actually, can’t wait to understand it better!

His Majesty, as i call him, is just so creepy, i always feel weird while reading his parts because i don’t totally understand him but i really want to!

And finally, our main couple and the father/mother in laws! I’m really sad Barr died i liked him instantly. I just hope everything goes alright to them!

Stay awesome,

Viviana
